Phil Munschauer and Russ Vester comprise the "Doctor Doctor" entry. Munschauer, a radiologist, and Vester, a cardiothoracic surgeon, race in large part to raise awareness for the American Heart Association. Securing a first-in-class win and a top ten overall finish would be neat, too.
The team relies on a 2006 Ford Mustang GT, altered with the knowledge of five One Lap events. The caged, track-ready coupe might not offer the most comfort for the long stretches separating tracks, but the team has a solution, "We sleep at Hampton Inns," says Munschauer. They also offer professional services, "If you need a cardiac stress test or CT Scan of your coronaries, I can read those. Need a bypass en route? Russ can do that!"
