Long Term Update 2: 2009 Nissan Maxima

Photographer Brian Vance recently took the Maxima for a spin and logged, "The car's steering ability in high-speed sweepers is impressive. Climbing the Grapevine on I-5 South, while hopping from the 5 (Los Banos) over to the 101 at Gilroy, I appreciated the car's ability to hold a set on a sweeper with little to no correction required at the wheel. The steering at those speeds feels properly weighted with a solid heft to it." And the interior? "Well thought out and pleasant to look at, but still sports signs of cheapness -- the harder, glossier plastics on the steering wheel and instrument panel surround offset the primo soft-touch dash. The iPod integration is excellent, with the plug in the center console cubbie, allowing full control of content using dash buttons and steering-wheel toggles."
