"Only drove the Mazda6 for a few days," notes assistant Web producer Scott Evans, "but I was really impressed. The engine is far peppier than I expected, and Mazda has done a great job of mitigating torque steer, especially considering there are 269 pound-feet on tap from the 3.7-liter V-6. The interior is stylish and well laid out, the seats are comfortable, the touch nav screen is easy to use, and the car is genuinely fun to drive. The only thing I could think of to complain about is the exterior styling, which I'm just not sold on yet."

Senior editor Ron Kiino shares similar thoughts relative to the sheetmetal. "I like the aggressive, raked face of the 6 as well as the stylish rear with the integrated dual exhaust outlets, but I'm not in love with the profile, as the exaggerated front fenders dominate the view."
