Isuzu's GBX pushes the edge of SUV design and architecture with an unusual "exoskeleton steel frame" that forms the core of the vehicle by enveloping the entire passenger cell. Center-split doors open wide for enhanced access, and freestanding seats increase floor storage. Power will be from a 3.0-liter turbocharged 24-valve diesel V-6 with common-rail direct injection. GBX will also feature Isuzu's Torque-on-Demand four-wheel-drive system, "intelligent" suspension, four-wheel Brembo brakes, and Goodyear run-flat tires.
