Mitsubishi's Ralliart model line represents high performance and unique styling. The midsize Galant sedan receives the Ralliart treatment for 2007, with the Eclipse GT's 258-horsepower, 3.8-liter V-6 (with 258 pound-feet of torque), which propels the four-door to sixty in less than seven seconds. For the 2006 Chicago Auto Show, Mitsubishi's Galant Ralliart sedan was given higher-rate springs and dampers than the standard model, and is the only Galant with a 21mm rear stabilizer bar. It comes with 235/45R18 all-season tires, mounted on 18x8.0-inch aluminum wheels. Interior and exterior styling cues align this car with the rest of the Ralliart line, such as the mesh grille, two-tone bumpers, aluminum pedals, body-color side air dams, and Ralliart badges. The body structure was stiffened, and that improvement will make its way to the rest of the Galant line for 2007. Also making its way to 2007 Galants is the restyled front fascia. Unfortunately, even though the concept version of this car was shown with a six-speed manual transmission, the production model only is available with a five-speed automatic.
