The replacement for its popular 206 adapts the latest distinctive (read, "ugly") Peugeot design language, one that replaces unusually good looking models. The 2006 Peugeot 207 comes with a choice of two front ends, depending on the trim level; a "sporty" look, with a muscular hood and racy grille. The other has a "more classic shape." Two gas engines are from Peugeot's new partnership with BMW, 1.6-liter gas direct injection turbos, and it will be also offered with a choice of three turbodiesels. The Pug on display here at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show also has electric steering and a raft of active and passive safety features.
