Like the current European Focus, Ford's folding metal-roof Focus convertible won't be sold in North America. Why not? It would push too closely into Volvo C70 (a folding-roof car based on the European Focus platform) price range, for one. The Focus convertible made its debut as the Vignale concept at the 2003 Frankfurt show, and will be built in Italy by Pininfarina. Makes you wonder who will choose the Volvo when it's the Ford that'll have Pinin badges on the lower rear fenders?
