Last year, Jaguar showed off its badder-than-bad black Concept Eight sedan, portending the future production model unveiled this year in theBig Apple. Based on a long-wheelbase XJ sedan, the Super V8 Portfoliobecomes the new flagship, carrying in to production many of the interiorand exterior design cues revealed last year. The special-edition car pushes the boundaries with both luxury and performance, with suchindulgences as Bluetooth-connectivity, twin-screen DVD system,four-zone air conditioning, laminated side glass, Alpine DolbyProLogic-II surround-sound audio, and power-adjustable rear seats.Naturally, the interior is swathed in leather and wood trim - no cornerscut with trim materials. The supercharged 4.2L V-8 engine has anincremental 10 hp increase to 400 horsepower, and it is teamed with asix-speed automatic transmission. While black seems the perfect color, the Super V8 Portfolio will also be offered in gold.
