2005 New York Auto Show Coverage
The tragically hip Sciontologists unveiled two special-edition models, a screaming yellow xB and the first such limited-edition variant of the tC coupe. The tC Release Series 1.0 is a tastefully executed package, giving the coupe a subtle tuner appearance right from the factory. Red is clearly the theme, with the vibrant color applied to trim details underhood and inside. The added flare can be seen on the floor mats and bucket seats, with brushed aluminum adorning the door sills. The exterior appearance is dressed with a unique grille, rear spoiler, and 225/40ZR18 tires wrapped around dark graphite Enkei wheels. Only 2500 examples will be produced, and they carry a $1775 premium over the base tC.
