Now that's Italian! When we first gazed upon the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, it was a drop-dead gorgeous slab of concept metal at the 2003 Frankfurt show. We loved it then, we love it now, especially because it's finally becoming a production reality. The 2007 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, which lucky Europeans will be able to pilot next summer, is one sexy hunk of Italian sheet metal. Power for the production car comes from a 4.7-liter V8 pumping out 450 horses through a six-speed, paddle-shift gearbox. Estimated 0-60 time is in the low four second range. Production will be limited to around 500 cars, with pricing estimated at around $140,000. We can only hope this beauty is coming stateside when Alfa makes its return to the U.S. market.
