At every foreign auto show, there are always a few cars that we wish we could get over here ASAP, and the S3 three-door hatch is no exception. The 2007 S3 is powered by a heavily reworked version of the tried and true VW/Audi 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo with direct injection. By bolting on an upgraded turbocharger and intercooler, the Audi engine techs were able to squeeze 265 hp (from 200) and 258 lb-ft of torque out of the 2.0-liter unit, which allows the S3 to scoot from 0 to 60 in the mid-five second range, according to the automaker. S3 also gets an effects treatment characteristic of Audi's S cars, including a reworked front fascia and standard 18-inch wheels on the outside and upgraded pedals, shift knob and other trim bits on the inside. Please, Audi, can we have some?
