Honda officially announced that an all-new Civic Si will be available next month and it specs out like a champ: a 2.0-liter, double overhead cam four-clyinder with Honda's newest-generation iVTEC, 11.0:1 compression ratio, and screaming 8,000-rpm capability transmute to 197-horsepower and 139 lb.-ft. of torque. Power is transferred via a six-speed manual that provides shifting just as sweet as an S2000's through a limited-slip front differential. And while previous versions of the Macpherson strut front and independent rear suspension didn't work as well together as the four-wheel independent versions, the new Si is the polar opposite, providing excellent balance and handling attitude. We've already driven it and we can say that it is good, very good!
