The RAV4 makes its domestic debut at SEMA, just a week after its international debut in Tokyo. Powered by 3.5-liter/268-hp VVT-I V-6 producing 246 lb-ft of torque and mated to a conventional automatic, it promises to be a potent powertrain. Believe it or not, the new RAV4 V-6 will reportedly be the fastest accelerating Toyota you can buy when it goes on sale. It will come equipped with Star safety system that includes vehicle stability control, traction control, and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution and brake assist. The SEMA-spec RAV4 Sport model boasts more aggressively styled sheetmetal, a unique aero kit, custom hood scoop and chrome grille, LED foglamps, 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in P245/50R20 rubber, and a sport-tuned suspension. The upscale interior boasts optional power moonroof and JBL 3-in-1 AM/FM/six-disc cd changer.
