The Cobalt SS Supercharged was already feisty, but Chevrolet and the GM Performance Division turned this one into an Unlimited Class Time Attack racer. Its Stage 2+ Ecotec engine, developed by GM Performance and GM Powertrain, uses an Eaton M-62 Gen 5 Hybrid supercharger, and puts out 264 horsepower and 230 pound-feet of torque. With nitrous, those numbers go up to 344 and 350, respectively. Also, to reduce weight, many components were replaced with carbon-fiber items. Don't think this Cobalt's just for show: it's going to race on November 8 at Buttonwillow.
