Peel the black electrical tape off the C-pillar, and you can see that the 3 Series coupe's classic Hoffmeister kink works well in harmony with Chris Bangle's "flame surfacing" on the next model, expected this fall. The new coupe, launching in 325i and 330i forms with 3.0-liter sixes, will later have a 4.0-liter, 400-horsepower V-8 under its hood as the next M3.

Look closely at the "lines" of the rear doors on this BMW 1 Series, and you'll notice they're drawn on. This is the upcoming three-door version. BMW will begin its much-delayed import of the 1 Series to the U.S. in time for the 2008 model year.
