Four different engine choices (all more powerful for '96) and available all-wheel drive broaden your options. Perhaps the most striking thing about the Voyager is its carlike driving feel. People who don't fancy themselves minivan fans tend to be favorably impressed with the refined and very modern Voyager. Maybe it follows that the folks who've been building minivans the longest do, indeed, do it best. Plymouth's new Voyager proves that the days of boring minivans are officially over.

Plymouth ProwlerWho Says Dreams Don't Come True? When it first arrived on the auto show circuit three years ago, people could scarcely believe the Prowler was for real. It's a modern-day roadster that captures the passion and beauty of the '50s street-rod era-built by Plymouth. Make that the new Plymouth.
Now an even bigger shocker-the '97 Prowler is headed for production, and should be on sale at your local Plymouth dealer in the spring of 1997. Now you know what we mean by "new Plymouth."
Since its debut, the Prowler has generated tremendous enthusiasm from wanna-be owners-and from Plymouth engineers. It will be built on the same assembly line as the Dodge Viper, the first of Chrysler's outrageous show cars to reach the street. Expected to be priced in the $35,000 range, the Prowler will put street-rod romance and the look of a one-off custom within reach of thousands of enthusiast drivers.
Prowler power comes from a 225-horsepower V-6 that exudes equal parts rumble and snarl every time the accelerator is pressed. It drives the rear wheels via an Autostick transmission that gives you the option of running through the gears manually if you like. Given the Prowler's light weight, there should be enough power on tap to slingshot this retro rocket to 60 mph in under eight seconds.
