Plymouth VoyagerWho Said Minivans Have To Be Boring? The engineers at Plymouth have an unfair advantage when it comes to designing minivans. After all, they invented the first one ever back in 1984. This experience, combined with the input of the most loyal owner body in the field, has resulted in a new minivan standard-setter for 1996. The three different versions (Chrysler {{{Town & Country}}}, Dodge Caravan, and Plymouth {{{Voyager}}}) cover a broad range of utility and luxury.
Far from taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Plymouth knows that all minivan buyers are not alike: The budget-conscious Voyager's wide array of possibilities lets you outfit it to suit your exact requirements. Choices start off with the roomy regular model (it's shorter than both the Mercury Villager and Ford Windstar, yet has more cargo space than either), or you can opt for the commodious Grand Voyager, which handily outdoes every minivan on the market. Either version can be outfitted to carry up to seven passengers.
The Voyager's handsome new styling and luxury-sedan demeanor make it a pleasure to drive. With a new body shell that's far more rigid than the one it replaces, the Voyager feels quietly serene on the highway and has an agile feel maneuvering through the mountains or around town. Great visibility and a tight turning circle make parking easy, too.
