New six-spoke alloy wheels, twin chrome exhaust tips, and a jaunty "V8" logo proclaim there's new fire in the belly of this veteran Lotus supercar. U.S. models will carry an S4-style mid-mount rear wing, while Euro-spec models get the S4S-type spoiler seen here.

I'm glad to see GM beat the competition by being first with a "real" electric vehicle to hit the streets. Despite all the negative press about electric cars, I think the market potential for full electric and hybrid cars is tremendous and definitely the way of the future. This first attempt at a production vehicle will probably be viewed as the Model T of modern electrics one day. Now, as for the price-forget it. Throw out the CD player, the ABS, and the cruise control on a car that can only be used as a short-range commuter and offer me a car that sells for about $20,000. Then the car will be seen buzzing around most urban areas as well as the 'burbs. I'm sure those items were thrown in to justify the price. $35,000: Nahhhh!

Sedans wish they had suspension and steering systems as good as this Passat's. The front MacPherson struts and rear torsion beam axle did a great job of sucking up even the harshest road surfaces, without losing a trace of body-roll or pitch control. It ran through the slalom at 62.7 mph and pulled 0.83 g on the skidpad.

Meanwhile, Chrysler Canada Engineering has given these products a strong endorsement for the removal of industrial fallout, rail dust, overspray, surface rust, and volcanic ash. Citing Clay Magic specifically, the product was described in a memo as "one of the current Chrysler-preferred methods for correcting fallout
