First Look: 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe

An aluminum-intensive multilink, independent suspension promises a refined ride, yet it's tuned more aggressively than the sedan for improved handling. Standard wheel fitment will be P225/50VR17 tires up front with P235/50VR17 tires in the rear. Sport models will be offered with P225/45WR18 front and P245/45WR18 rear tires, along with a limited-slip differential. All models will include four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC).

The interior treatment is as complete as the performance hardware, with an attractive, modern cockpit fitted with numerous electric amenities. Beyond the basic power features, the Coupe includes a six-disc CD changer, telematics system, dual-stage front airbags, side airbags, and side curtain airbags. From there, buyers can upgrade with six-way power perforated leather seats, eight-speaker Bose stereo, and DVD-based navigation system with retractable monitor.

Beyond two well-equipped models, Luxury and Sport, the G35 Coupe will be available this fall with a dual sliding glass moonroof, aero package with side skirts and rear wing, Brembo brake package, Premium package, and Winter package with heated seats and mirrors. While the car can be generously equipped, the G35 Coupe will base price near $28,000 when it goes on sale - right in 350Z territory. Certain to ignite passion for Infiniti product, the G35 promises to draw fresh buyers into showrooms. We know it's at the top of our must-drive list.
