Our 2005 COTY winner hit the fleet and the street running and hasn't been getting much rest. It's been seen partying the night away in Las Vegas, where it cemented its position as a road machine that would do any Rat Packer proud, although we suspect Frank, Sammy, or Dean would opt for black, in the best Halston tux tradition. The audio system sounds great, although the Sirius satellite signal is no longer working--something we need to look into. The seats are plenty comfortable for 250-mile stints, and the seat heaters are not only warm, but help relax muscles.

Combined with the nice ride and handling, the 300C gobbles up freeway miles (at above legal speeds, we must admit) in complete control without being overly harsh. And noise levels at those speeds remain in check. The Hemi V-8 is always on tap, ready to blow past the rest of the field. With recent trips--including Los Angeles to Sacramento, Sacramento to Lake Tahoe then back to L.A.--it shouldn't be a surprise that we hit the first service mark quickly. Our first scheduled maintenance visit included the usual oil/filter change, tire rotation, and visual inspections.
