This car/wagon/vehicle has more personality than I expected. The power, while it won't set any records, was a pleasant surprise. The Maxx is the right size for driving around town, running errands, and weekend trips. Unfortunately, the numb steering makes it feel too much like an appliance. - Allyson HarwoodThe remote start feature is great. As I was leaving the office one night, I noticed it was raining. I pressed the button on the fob, and a few minutes later, I jumped into a warmed-up Maxx, the heater blowing much welcome hot air. I dig it! - John Kiewicz Too bad the radio volume and fan speed controls are exactly the same size and shape and positioned in the same vertical plane. I've turned down the fan about 10 times just trying to adjust the volume. - Mark Williams The best seat in the Maxx is in back. Between the room, DVD, and rear-area glass roof, it delivers First Class seating at a Coach ticket price. Plastics don't measure up to other competitors, and powertrain doesn't have the silkiness of a Honda or Toyota's, but the Maxx is a credible step in the right direction. - Matt Stone Torque steer is pronounced, but the V-6 has more than enough punch to take advantage of every opportunity to outwit heavy urban traffic. Not an exciting car, but the Maxx would be a no-brainer to live with as a family car. - John Matthius |
