The Eclipse took a solo jaunt from Los Angeles to Phoenix where it was noted that the driver's seat proved surprisingly comfortable for six hours in the saddle.A fair amount of cabin noise rode along for the trip, but otherwise the car cruised happily at 80 to 90 mph the whole way. The Rockford-Fosgate sound system also earned kudos on this trip.Everyone raves about Nissan's fabulous VQ V-6, but Mitsu's lusty MIVEC 3.8, as tuned in this application, is every bit as good. There are some things we really like about the Eclipse, including its bulletproof reliability; we've had zero trouble with it.
