On a 100-mile buzz down to Irvine and back, online editor Mike Floyd notes, "The XK's suspension is nice and comfortable, and the seat is comfy, too. I could definitely see myself taking the Jag on a long trip (albeit with scant luggage)-it really hits the sweet spot as a sport tourer. When I needed to drop the hammer, it had more than enough oomph to get me up to speed in style, and with a potent exhaust note to let me know there's some growl in this cat. Agree with others regarding the power antenna-why on earth does this setup still exist?"
As for the XK's styling, some object to it. Floyd digs it. "All things considered, the overall design is certainly a step up from the previous generation's, and clearly the Aston/Callum influence is there, especially at the rear-and I'm a big fan of Astons."
