We remain hopelessly addicted to our 2003 Mitsubishi Lancerr Evolution's rush of power, taut suspension, and no-nonsense interior.

Okay, we'll admit it: We remain hopelessly addicted to our Evo's rush of power, taut suspension, and no-nonsense interior. The 11,250-mile service was performed this month and, while our Evo was at the dealer, we had the service department address a rattle in the B-pillar cover.
A little double-sided tape provided a free cure. The fresh oil filter, five quarts of Mobil One, and a tire shuffle cost us just $79.57. Senior Photographer John Kiewicz pulled a 1000-mile road trip through northern Nevada, noting that, "The Evo's headlamps are amazing in their ability to pierce through the coal-black night, illuminating objects in the distance like no other factory lighting package I've ever experienced."
