After a quick trip with his wife to Vegas, online editor Michael Floyd opines that he prefers the RDX to the CX-9. "Sure, the Acura is 36 large, and you can get, say, our SUOTY-winning CX-9 for about that amount of scratch, but it depends on what you want out of your crossover. Personally, I choose the smaller, more agile RDX over bigger 'utes, but I'm not hauling 2.3 kids and a dog to the soccer game, either."

While he appreciates the RDX's "giant storage bin under the center armrest," Floyd was disappointed with the Acura's fuel economy on his jaunt to Sin City. "I thought that running at a steady 75-80 mph would net better mpg than it did. My three fill-ups averaged 20.8, 18.9, and 16.4-would've thought low 20s at least, and I certainly wasn't mashing it."
