2000 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi - First Test
This Bonneville is a sport sedan with an accent on luxury, not a sporty luxury car. Its supercharged V-6 has a throaty exhaust note and the lumpty-bump of outlaw idle roughness. Its styling, though tailored, is still too hot to trot with the cooler elements of the Grey Poupon set. And its taut suspension is overtly firm compared to most comfy prestige sedans. This is a sport sedan first. Consider it if you're looking for a quick, quiet, well-appointed, capacious, boldly styled, high-value car that's still fun to drive.
