BMW Z3 Series
After giving power-thirsty speed-seekers a new and improved engine last year, BMW makes only minor modifications to its Z3 series for 2000. Stocked with a base 2.5-liter/170-horsepower inline-six, the cute li'l roadster pleases the eyes and the seat of the pants in equal measure. All Z3s receive new airbags, as well as some external freshening-including new wheels and slight styling tweaks. The Z3 is also available as a 2.8-liter/193-horsepower roadster or coupe, which hits 60 mph in 6.3 seconds with a manual transmission. If you really crave thrills, opt for the 3.2-liter/240-horsepower, smooth-handling M roadster or coupe and you'll jump to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds.
