Dodge Intrepid
With a strong-running new powertrain borrowed from the Chrysler 300M, the Intrepid R/T makes its millennium debut. The 3.5-liter/242-horsepower SOHC V-6 engine is paired with a dual-mode AutoStick transmission and performance-tuned exhaust system to add to the R/T's sporting ambiance. Naturally, there are stylistic tweaks, such as R/T badging and embroidery, 17-inch aluminum wheels, and foglamps. For the rest of the Intrepid variations in 2000, engine choices are a 2.7-liter/202-horsepower DOHC V-6 or a 3.2-liter/225-horsepower SOHC V-6. Both come with dual-mode AutoStick transmission. Plentiful options include a premium Infinity sound system and leather seats.

Dodge Neon
Meet the second-generation Dodge Neon, a scrappy little sedan that's ready to launch into its competition like an enraged "Mini Me." The all-new Neon has an impressive list of standard features in its arsenal, like rear window defroster, along with handsome styling and plenty of interior space. A mildly refined 2.0-liter/132-horsepower inline-four pairs with a standard five-speed manual transmission. An automatic is optional. A significantly stronger chassis combines with details like full-framed doors and windows to provide a quieter, more refined ride and a higher quality feel. The Neon R/T will reappear in 2000 with a 2.0-liter/150-horsepower inline-four. Mini Me R/T, you complete me.
