2010 Ford Taurus

Having worked at Ford Styling for 28 years, I always had the impression that Ford was always trying to catch up with GM, except for Mustang and F-Series. We always had every GM car in our studios, sometimes before they were released to the public and always copied the best features of their cars, and were pretty sucessful with it, but now it seems like Ford and GM are happy to imitate Toyota, Honda, Lexus and the other Japanese cars. Unfortunately, Ford never has been able to get back to competing properly in the automotive marketplace, always being a few years behind in styling and technology. The 2010 Taurus seems to be a better answer than the previous 500/Taurus designs, but still a little behind in the game as usual. The Mustang is the only Ford automobile that has been a hit from day one and continues to be a hit, except for the Pinto based model in the seventies, which was a real flop. I still like Ford
automobiles and will continue to buy them, but would like to see another smash hit from them.
