Online editor Michael Floyd just spent four days in our 2008 Car of the Year, and he still feels the same way he did when he voted for it: "This is hands-down the best sedan General Motors has built in...ever? Certainly in my lifetime."

Well, GM has built a lot of sedans in Mike's lifetime (we won't say how many), so that's saying something. "The more you drive the CTS, the more you appreciate it as a driver's car," he says. "The ride is firm but not too much so, straddling a fine line a la BMW between being too jarring and too comfortable. They got the dynamic porridge just right. Its steering feel is spot on (no real dead spot and isn't too heavy). And as we found out last year, the CTS can carry the mail in the twisties, making the drive home better as you can work it hard into and out of corners -- you know, have some fun and get some joy out of your vehicle."
