Road Test: 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLK350
The new interior is roomier than the old car's, and it has a modern, low-key Teutonic flavor. Round, brushed-chrome control buttons on a matte black dash evoke the look of stereophile hi-fi equipment.
The brushed chrome is repeated on the dash trim, seatback shells, Audi TT-like interior door pulls, and two round gauges exposed on the sides.
Mercedes's new SLK is a much better piece than its predecessor and demands the attention of women and men alike. If you want a good sports car for you or your lady, the SLK350 should be on your shopping list.
