2006 Chevrolet HHR Photos

Alongside the retro-themed production HHR, Chevrolet displayed a street-rodded model transformed by West Coast Customs (WCC). Best known for their hip transformations on MTV's "Pimp My Ride," WCC went all out by chopping the roof for a lowered profile, augmented by a modified suspension with rear air bags. The chassis was further enhanced with 20-inch Giovanna wheels shod in Pirelli rubber. This increased unsprung weight is halted by a 12-inch Stainless Steel Brakes system. In the WCC tradition, the interior was swathed in two-tone leather and complimented by body-colored trim. Of course, the a/v system is off the hook: A 10-inch LCD monitor is fitted to the dash, with four more monitors fitted in a custom center console. This project vehicle showcases some of the latest audio equipment by WCC and Orion audio, including two 10-inch WCC Orion subwoofers surrounding a 15-inch center mounted monitor. The new molded door panels include speaker pods and WCC speaker components. A distinctly California build-up, consider the WCC HHR a preview of the fall SEMA show.
