Mercury's product renaissance continues with the introduction of the 2006 Milan five-passenger sedan at $18,995. Developed to complement to the larger Montego, the midsize Milan is a more youthful, Euro-inspired car that forwards the modern luxury drive for Mercury by reaching out to new buyers. A clean, contemporary design, the Milan almost erases the memory of the Sable. Inside, the Milan features a clean, flat dash design with contrasting elements, a theme that continues throughout the cockpit. Leather seats, available in two-tone, are complemented by either Satin Metallic or Wales Mahogany wood trim finishes. The Milan will launch with two engines, a 2.3L/160-hp PZEV I-4 with a five-speed manual or automatic, and a 3.0L/210-hp V-6 teamed with a six-speed automatic. In about a year, Milan's drivetrain offerings will expand with the availability of all-wheel drive. And in 2008, Milan will become Mercury's second full-hybrid vehicle, joining the Mariner.
