"Over the weekend, I had some time to try out an iPod in the xB's specific jack," reports associate editor Allyson Harwood, "and I really like being able to control the iPod through the touch screen."

Sounds like the perfect road-trip element, doesn't it? "That would be a great feature to have on a long drive, except that you have to be stopped to make any changes. This seems silly to me, and incredibly overcautious. You can change audio input, volume, and radio stations from the touch screen at any time, but to change tracks or artists on the iPod through the same interface, you have to be stopped? I understand that it's a safety concern, but making it the same interface as the rest of the stereo system makes it just as safe as tuning to another station or adjusting the volume."
